February 12, 2007A new side project called ROADKILL has been put together by veteran Tasmanian hard rock vocalist Neil Steel of TYRANT. Steel is joined by WELL HUNG MONKEY vocalist/guitarist Zig, Craig "Sheppo" Shepherd on bass guitar and drummer Keith Kenny.
ROADKILL will make its 2007 live debut on Saturday, February 17 at the Trout where they will showcase songs that will appear on their debut, scheduled for mid-2007 release. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Get Out Of My Way", "King Hit", "Locomotive", "Hollywood", "Last Man Standing" and "Sex Machine".
According to a press release, ROADKILL is influenced by "countless hard rock/metal acts, including, BUCKCHERRY, MOTÖRHEAD, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, VELVET REVOLVER, SKID ROW, GUNS N' ROSES, PANTERA, METALLICA, and VAN HALEN, etc. delivering a brand of hard rock that is obnoxious, loud, crude and above all else — a band that has a mountain of angst-ridden attitude!"
ROADKILL will enter the studio in May to begin recording its debut CD.
